CHARLIE KINSTLER, SR. PASSES

DOWNEY – Saturday, October 28 the Southland bowling world lost one of its biggest fans.

Charles (Charlie) was born in Portsmith, Ohio in 1929. While serving in the Army, he was stationed in England where he met Shirley. They married, moved to California and he started his real estate business.

Their two boys William (Bill) and Charlie Jr., learned to love bowling early. Mom and Dad were familiar faces in the San Gabriel Valley. Over the years they bowled leagues at Montebello, Lucky Lanes, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, Beverly Bowl, Alhambra Valley, Del Rio and Keystone. Charlie chalked up over 50 years on the lanes; a true gentleman and loyal teammate.

Next time you hear a clap of thunder, that will be Charlie going for one more strike!

A “Celebration of Life“ will be 11am November 29th at the Miller MiesMortuary 10229 Paramount Blvd. Downey, CA 90241.
